Peggy Martin
Description
Famous for both its beauty and resilience, Peggy Martin is a vigorous, nearly thornless climbing rose that becomes covered in clusters of bright pink blooms each spring. Individual flowers are relatively small — about 1 inch across — but appear in such abundance that a mature plant can create an impressive wall of color.
Peggy Martin is especially valued for its easy-care nature, strong disease resistance, and ability to cover fences, trellises, arbors, and other large structures. Mature plants typically reach 13–17 feet tall and about 5–7 feet wide, though they can grow even larger with room to ramble.
It is best known for its spectacular spring flush. Established plants may bloom again in late summer or fall.
